What is FrogTown Friends?

FrogTown Friends exotic pet rescue is a compassionate animal rescue that focuses on rehabilitation and professional care of exotic pets. We are vet recommended with over ten years of hands on experience with multiple species of exotic pets! Located in Kent county Delaware, we aim to not only rescue, but to teach the community about these often misunderstood animals and why adopting a FrogTown Friend is a forever friend.

Adopting a friend from Frogtown

Adopting a FrogTown Friend means giving an animal a second chance at a loving home. Our adoption process is designed to make sure each pet is matched with the right family. Potential adopters begin by filling out an adoption application so we can learn about their experience, home setup, and the type of care they can provide. Once approved, we work closely with adopters to help them find the perfect companion and ensure they are prepared for the responsibility of caring for an exotic pet. By adopting instead of purchasing, you are making a meaningful difference in the life of an animal in need.

SURRENDERING

We understand times can be hard and you have to give up your friend. FrogTown is happy to offer a judgement free place to surrender your animal. We take in a wide variety of exotic animals from invertebrates, reptiles, and more. To surrender, FrogTown is reachable by phone, email, or any of our social media accounts.

If interested in surrendering your animal to us please fill out our surrender form.

Due to space and local regulations, we are unfortunately unable to take on certain animals. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Birds (any kind)
  • Small mammals (any kind)
  • Fish (any kind)
  • Turtles (any kind)
  • Venomous snakes and lizards
  • Heavy bodied snakes over 7 feet

Please note that we are not a wildlife rehabilitation or rescue center and cannot take in wildlife rescues. We can certainly help with contact for local wildlife rehabilitators and at times be temporary care until the rehabilitator can pick up the animal. Please call for information before bringing any animals.

FrogTown will never ask for a fee when surrendering a pet!

Fostering

As our space fills up, we will at times open up opportunities for fostering a FrogTown Friend. We lovingly call our fosters FrogTown Friends Foster Bubbies.

Just as the adoption process goes, we do have an application for being a FrogTown Friends Foster Buddy to ensure we can match up the right FrogTown Friend to the right Foster Buddy. If interested, please contact us by email or phone.
