Adopting a friend from Frogtown

 

We promise adopting a new pet from us will be an easy and pleasurable experience. We take pride in the care provided to all animals in our care and promise that any pet adopted through FrogTown is healthy and free of any illnesses or parasites.

To ensure the health and safety of the animals we have adapted an application process for all FrogTown Friends. This allows us to find the correct home for these animals and make sure they are going home to proper enclosures and husbandry.

By purchasing the animal from our website, you are agreeing to fill out the adoption application. The form must be filled out within 72 of receiving it. Any applications filled out after will be considered invalid. 

To see what animals we have available please visit our “PETS” section of the website and go to "RESCUES". All rescues will be listed separately with a brief bio.

Customers must be 18 years or older to adopt or purchase animals from FrogTown. Additionally, FrogTown has the right to deny a potential adopter that has any history of improper animal care/ handling, including abuse or negligence. This can include willful ignorance of proper husbandry or unwillingness to provide proper care based on our recommendations.

Prior to taking your new friend home, we will require proof of adequate setup. Items needed can also be purchased through our online store and we are always here to help with questions regarding the setup or husbandry.

Frogtown's adoptable friends come from surrenders and rescues. We make sure that any animal that is adopted from us goes home with a clean bill of health and passes a quarantine period before being made available for adoption. Any vet records connected with the animal will be made available to the new owner. 

In some cases, animals may require a license/ permit. FrogTown will do its part to inform any customers of when a license or permit is required including obtaining any permits that are needed on our end.

Meet and greets are also available for our adoptable friends. Please reach out to us to schedule an appointment!

 

SURRENDERING 

We understand times can be hard and you have to give up your friend. FrogTown is happy to offer a judgement free place to surrender your animal. We take in a wide variety of exotic animals from invertebrates, reptiles, and more. To surrender, FrogTown is reachable by phone, email, or any of our social media accounts.

If interested in surrendering your animal to us please fill out our surrender form.

Please be aware that at times we may have to deny or delay the surrender of an animal due to lack of space or available enclosures. We will always prioritize surrenders with medical issues and others may be placed on a wait list or offered a courtesy rehoming post on our social media accounts.

FrogTown will never ask for a fee when surrendering a pet!

Fostering

As our space fills up, we will at times open up potential for fostering a FrogTown Friend. We lovingly call our fosters FrogTown Friends Foster Bubbies. 

Just as the adoption process goes, we do have an application for being a FrogTown Friends Foster Buddy to ensure we can match up the right FrogTown Friend to the right Foster Buddy. If interested, please contact us by email or phone.

Sponsorship

To help facilitate a faster adoption we accept sponsorships from businesses and individuals of all kinds. Sponsorship is easy. While we encourage sponsorship of animals that been in our care the longest, we always allow the sponsor to choose. The sponsor will pay the adoption fee (or more if they choose). Their name or business will be then attached to that animal until it finds its forever home. FrogTown: Exotic Pet Food & Supplies will run an advertisement for 1 week to let everyone know of the sponsorship.

While adoption fees are considered paid for this way we do still follow our application process for any potential adopters. Finding the correct home for these animals is always our top priority.
